Roundabout Theatre’s production of Long Day’s Journey into Night by Eugene O’Neill will give its first performance on March 31st, 2016, with an official opening night on April 19th. The show will feature Tony nominee Gabriel Byrne, who appeared previously in A Touch of the Poet and A Moon for the Misbegotten, and Jessica Lange, who has acted in The Glass Menagerie and American Horror Story. Jonathan Kent will direct the production.

Eugene O’Neill’s most autobiographical work, Long Day’s Journey into Night follows the Tyrone family and their efforts to reveal and hide from each other a variety of secrets. Published only after the author’s death due to how closely it touched O’Neill’s own experience, the play offers a powerful look at human nature.
