A managing director of healthcare investment banking at National Securities, Hany Awadalla is responsible for working closely with medical device and molecular diagnostic companies and determining their clinical and commercial potential. Focusing primarily on emerging growth companies, he develops transactions with suitable companies that allow them to raise capital as they grow and succeed. Since joining National Securities in 2011, Hany Awadalla has helped the healthcare team have one of its best performing years in history. He also raised more than $100 million of capital and managed the firm’s largest private placement transaction.
Hany Awadalla began his successful career after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. He then spent two years working as a financial analyst for LF Rothschild before returning to school and receiving his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. From there, he took on his first financial leadership position as the vice president of mergers and acquisitions at Merrill Lynch. Over the next 20 years, he continued proving his leadership skills in such roles as managing director at Robertson Stephens & Co., Wells Fargo Securities, and Collins Stewart before finally accepting his current position.
